wedding day
the pear tree
sheds petals
crawling through the cellar
you speak
of the past
homecoming -
the potatoes burst
into flower

her glasses
New Year gardening
the ground
further away
homecoming -
the wheel on my case
squeaks

the tock tock
of the two dollar clock
Sunday roast -
white flesh
on the balconies
you speak of divorce
the morning sun
in your face
