longer days spark growth
below ground the bulbs switch on -
daffodils shed light
gusty wind
barley heads sweep
in a mexican wave
first white butterfly
my cabbages
not yet planted
moonlight
the stream flows from shadow
to shadow
along the road
every farmhouse
marked by blossom
warm darkness
the mouthing of the tide
moving over stones
building site
yesterday’s cherry grove
deconstructed
moonlit chill
steam drifts from the thermal pool
through tree shadows
broken cloud
a pool of brilliant light
far out at sea
road to the beach
wave after wave of blue
hydrangeas
