The prizewinners and place-getters (Highly Commended and Commended) are automatically included in our annual anthology, and all remaining entries are reconsidered by the editor for inclusion. Those selected earn their writers an invitation to the launch of the anthology in early November. This is an exciting event, and for many of our younger contributors the first chance to share their work with a poetry audience.
Entry fees:
Open verse: $5 per poem ($4 for NZPS members)
Open Junior: $2 per poem
Haiku: $1 per haiku (every 5th haiku free for NZPS members)
Junior Haiku: $1 for a pair of haiku. If only one haiku is submitted, the fee is $1.Entries in the Junior sections can be through schools or by the independent student.
NZPS members enter at a discounted price, but it is not necessary to be a member to enter. Join NZPS.
Competition instructions and entry forms are available here. Members of the NZPS received entry forms with the March issue of a fine line.
